In-app chord charts

Write chords-above-lyrics charts on Pro, then read them mid-show with transpose, capo-aware keys, and auto-scroll — with Ultimate-Guitar fallback.

How it works

  1. 01In your song library, tap a song's chart button and write the chart once — chords on their own lines, lyrics directly below. It saves onto the song and follows it to every gig and setlist.
  2. 02Mid-show, the chart button opens a full-screen, stage-readable viewer: transpose on the fly, pick a capo position and read the shapes, resize the text, and let auto-scroll keep your place.
  3. 03No custom chart saved? The button falls back to the auto-matched Ultimate-Guitar chart — or a one-tap search — so you always land on chords.

Why it matters

  • No leaving the app mid-song — your chart, in your key, one tap away in the dark.
  • The live viewer and Ultimate-Guitar fallback are free on every plan; the chart editor is Pro.

Permanent artist page

Your own QR code and link — fans scan and land on your page instantly, no app needed.

How it works

  1. 01Every artist profile gets a permanent public page — with its own QR code, your photo, bio, links, and upcoming gigs.
  2. 02Put the QR code on your posters, table tents, or merch table. Fans scan it and your page opens instantly in their browser — nothing to download, no account to create.
  3. 03The same QR code works for every gig. When you start a gig from the stage, the page lights up with the live request board and tip buttons.

Why it matters

  • The scan-to-request step takes a fan under ten seconds.
  • One permanent link you print once and reuse forever — posters, cards, and social bios.

Crowd-voted requests

Fans request songs and upvote favorites to push them up the queue.

How it works

  1. 01Fans pick a song from your catalog — or write in any song if you allow write-ins.
  2. 02Every pending request shows on the public request board, where other fans upvote their favorites. Each fan gets one vote per request.
  3. 03The board updates live, so the whole room can see which songs the crowd wants most.

Why it matters

  • Upvotes turn a pile of requests into a crowd-curated setlist.
  • Fans who wouldn't request their own song will happily push a popular one up the board.

Tips, dedications & goals

Tiered tips, fan dedications, and crowd goals for the night — or the encore.

How it works

  1. 01Set your tip tiers — $5/$10/$20, $10/$20/$50, or fully custom amounts. Fans can also enter any custom amount.
  2. 02Fans attach a dedication to their request — a short note you can read on mic — plus an optional display name.
  3. 03Every gig shows progress toward a crowd tip goal, with an optional encore goal, so the whole room can rally toward a number.

Why it matters

  • Dedications make tips personal — and give you something to say on mic.
  • Crowd goals turn tipping into a show: the room works together toward the encore.

Real-time setlist mode

Approve, reject, and reorder the live queue from the stage, in real time.

How it works

  1. 01Your dashboard is built for stage lighting: dark, high-contrast, and thumb-sized controls.
  2. 02Incoming requests arrive live — approve, reject, or reorder them into your set as the night unfolds.
  3. 03Mark songs played, extend the gig if the room is hot, and end the night when you're done.

Why it matters

  • Approve-or-reject in one tap — no more napkin setlists or shouted requests.
  • The dashboard stays readable on a phone in your pocket, between songs.

Bandsintown sync

Paste your Bandsintown link — your gig schedule imports automatically.

How it works

  1. 01Add your Bandsintown page link in Settings and your upcoming gigs import automatically, with real start times.
  2. 02Re-syncs keep your schedule current — and never overwrite a gig you've edited yourself.
  3. 03Each synced gig gets its own request page and QR code, ready before you even load in.

Why it matters

  • No double entry — the schedule you already maintain becomes your request pages.
  • Fans who follow you online see the same gigs fans see on the night.

Song lists & catalog

Curate your catalog and activate a song list per gig for focused requests.

How it works

  1. 01Add your catalog once, with an optional per-song minimum tip for your big numbers.
  2. 02Group songs into lists — like 'Acoustic set' or 'Dance floor' — and activate one per gig.
  3. 03Fans request from exactly the list you choose, so requests always fit the room.

Why it matters

  • Per-song minimums let premium requests pay premium tips.
  • The right list for the right room keeps requests playable, not awkward.

Earnings insights

Date-range earnings, best-gig-nights highlights, and CSV exports.

How it works

  2. 02See your best gig nights, top-requested songs, and average tips at a glance.
  3. 03Export everything to CSV for your records or your accountant.

Why it matters

  • Know which venues and nights actually pay.
  • Real numbers make it easy to set your rates and raise your goals.

Direct-to-artist payouts

Connect your own Stripe account — tips transfer straight to you.

How it works

  1. 01Connect your own Stripe account from the Billing page in a few minutes.
  2. 02Tips transfer straight to your account — NextSongUp never holds your money.
  3. 03Track payout status and history anytime, right from the Billing page.

Why it matters

  • You keep the full displayed tip amount — fans cover the checkout fees.
  • Funds go from fan to your bank, with no waiting on us.
